The end of one year and the beginning of the next can be an exciting and hectic time. However, it can also be an advantageous time for women who wish to take a proactive approach to their reproductive health and wellbeing. Undergoing an annual well woman exam is recommended for all women, and doing so at the start of each new year can be a simple way to make sure this very important appointment is never missed.

The purpose of a well woman exam is to help women gain a better understanding of the state of their reproductive health from one year to the next. When performed by our board-certified gynecologist, Dr. Kristine Gould, a well woman exam can offer women opportunities for the following:

  • To undergo annual health screenings like a pelvic exam, clinical breast exam, and Pap testing
  • The opportunity to have a thorough discussion with your gynecologist to discuss any specific concerns, conditions, or questions regarding reproductive health
  • An occasion to undergo additional screenings or treatments including STI tests, vaccinations (including HPV vaccinations)
  • A chance to have any other testing or lab work performed and more

Here in our office, well woman exams are always personalized to the specific needs of each patient. We look forward to the opportunity to reconnect with our patients and do everything in our power to make these appointments as comfortable and simple as possible.
